Invest in

Yourself

Building a business is hard. It’s mentally draining, physically exhausting, and just plain difficult. You’re cash strapped, super busy, or you might not even have a permant place to live or work. It’s during times like this that it’s difficult to look at yourslef and decide to spend time, money, or resources on just you.

Why is it so hard?

I’ve been working on creating my own business for a few months now, and I’m finding investing in just myself has been super difficult.

Why?

It’s because it’s super easy to justify how to spend that time or money somewhere else, somewhere else where it might create you an income, or provide you with oppurtunities.

How do you do it?

I’ve found when I make it a priority to invest in myself, I feel better, perform better, and am just a better person to myself and others.

I invest in myself in various ways.

I give myself the time to take a nice long soak bubble bath, with the new Queer Eye playing on my tablet. I purchase a tool that will make my life easier. I purchase a fun toy I’ve been eyeing.

Investing in yourself can be pretty simple, and even free. If you’re feeling stressed out, go take a walk with your favorite podcast. Give yourself permission to take a breather and a nice break. Buy yourself a latte if you’ve been drinking homemade coffee to save the $$$.
